The news that is going to excite and also unite a seemingly United but broken Nation was revealed by the FUFA boss himself Mr Moses Magogo Hashim to one of his confidants in a conversation that Swift Sports editors eavesdropped.

‘This is another big win for me in particular, first I got the national team back to playing in AFCON after over 30 years, now I am bringing the tournament home’

‘When I hear people say Magogo out I feel sorry for them, we are still winning and achieving, what will they now say?’

‘Bwembagamba tutegele omupiira they don’t want to listen, if you can’t beat us, just join us and we develop the beautiful game together’ said an excited Magogo

In the past there had been talk of Uganda and Kenya trying out a joint bid but the latter was deemed unserious by the former when they got banned by the world football governing body for government interference, therefore Uganda put up a one man show bid which was successful.

The bid’s success was attributed to the ongoing renovations of the Mandela national stadium Namboole and the reconstruction of Nakivubo stadium.

CAF officials who where in the country at the beginning of the year where extremely impressed by the on going works and thus where left with no option but to accept Uganda’s bid to host the continental tournament after Ivory Coast.

If wishes were horses, beggars would ride, but then again it’s not far fetched, come to think of it.

ANYWAY, HAPPY APRIL 1ST and kudos to you if you read to the end!!
