Bright Stars inch closer to safety with slim win over Gaddafi

Soltilo Bright Stars moved six points above the relegation zone after securing a hard drilled 1-0 win over Gaddafi in the UPL game played at Kavumba.

Defender Derrick Ngoobi scored the all important goal that inspired Bright Stars to a very crucial victory.

Ngoobi headed home perfectly from within the area following a well delivered cross by Yasin Mugume as early as the 3rd minute.

Nelson Senkatuka also came cross to doubling the lead by he failed to hit target from a keeper to beat situation towards the stroke of halftime.

Bright Stars now sit 10th on the table with 30 points and could seal their Premier League safety next week if they secure another victory or if Police FC fail to win.

Bright Stars will face KCCA in the next game on Monday 2nd May at Lugogo.

Gaddafi are now winless in the last 10 games and dangerously hang above the drop zone in the 12th place with 28 points.

The Soldier Boyz will host the already relegated Tooro United in their next game on Friday 6th May.
