Buwambo United head coach Richard Kansole is optimistic that he will guide the Buganda region side to the Big league.
Buwambo is one of the 16 teams from the eight FUFA Regional Leagues that will fight for the four Big league promotional slots left.
In Buganda region, Kansole’s side who are in Katonga Group will face off with Luweero United FC (Ssezibwa Group) to determine who takes on the winners in Kampala Region where Edgars FC (Cobra Group) will lock horns with CATDA FC (Scorpion Group).

“The league ended prematurely due to the deadly coronavirus pandemic but the great thing is that Buwambo will take part in the playoffs to determine who will join the Big league next season.”
“Our target as a club is to make it to the second tier of Ugandan football and I am optimistic that my charges will prevail.” He says
On his future at Uganda Premier league club Police FC where he serves as the goalkeeping coach, Kansole said,

“My contract at Police FC came to an end but we are having negotiations over a renewal.” I believe we shall reach a compromise with the club.”
During his time as a player, Kansole played for Express FC, Hoima FC, Victors FC, Kinyara FC, Nakumatt FC and Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
As a coach, he has previously served with Simba FC (now defunct), goalkeeping coach at Nyamityobora FC, Police FC and also guided Ffumbe clan to the 2018 semifinals as head coach.
