Bugema, Ndejje excel in first Corporate Woodball Circuit

The Uganda Woodball Federation conducted the first Corporate Woodball Circuit on Sunday at MUBS playground.

This was the federation’s first event since the 2020 Woodball calendar was canceled due to the outbreak of the global Covid-19 pandemic.

Masiga Jackson (Kisubi Corporate) excelled in the individual senior corporate woodball, he managed 40 strokes to win the men’s category.

Rwaganika Absolom (Ndejje Corporate) was second with 42 strokes while Ssemata Raymond (Kisubi Corporate) finished in third place with 45 strokes in the men’s individual senior corporate category.

Male Michael with 47 strokes won the men’s single event while Mugerwa Timothy and Gumisiriza Ronald were second and third with 48 and 60 strokes respectively.

Nansereko Maria Teddy (Ndejje Corporate) scooped the women’s single gold medal with 47 strokes in a tight contest that saw Balemesa Justine (UNEB Corporate) was second with 47 strokes.

Najjuma Joan (Bugema University) finished in third place in the Women’s singles with 48 strokes.

In the men’s doubles, Tigers Corporate duo of Yuda and Barungi won the event with 46 strokes while Bugema’s Kigongo and Bulese were second with 47 strokes.

Sombe and Baker of Tigers finished in third place with 47 strokes.

Women doubles, Balemesa and Nandugwa from UNEB Corporate won the category with 47 strokes. Nansereko and Nakazi (Ndejje Corporate) finished second with 55 strokes while Nankya and Matovu Rose (Zoe) were third with 58 strokes.

In the teams event, Bugema University with 212 strokes won the Women’s team event while Ndejje Corporate and UNEB Woodball Club were second and third with 220 and 231 strokes respectively.

Ndejje Corporate won the Men’s 1st Corporate woodball circuit team event with 187 strokes while Tiger Woodball club were second with 203 strokes. Bugema University finished third with 226 strokes.

The event was graced by the Uganda Woodball Federation President Paul Mark Kayongo, General Secretary Collins Ssemanda and other administrators from the Federation.

The second Corporate Woodball circuit is scheduled for 13th June at Bugema University.
