BUL end year on top of table with win over Busoga United

Alex Kitata scored the all important goal as BUL FC prevailed 1-0 over their city rivals Busoga United on Thursday at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

Kitata’s goal came in the second period of the game to earn Abbey Kikomeko’s side victory over his former paymasters.

The former SC Villa striker has been in fine form this term and has now scored 7 league goals for BUL FC.

Victory also sees BUL FC extend their lead at the top of the Uganda Premier league table to six points.

This was their 10th win of this campaign in 13 games and are now on 32 points which means they will end the year at the summit.

For Busoga United, they are currently in the red zone of the UPL with 12 points they have garnered in 13 matches.

BUL FC next make a short trip to Gaddafi FC on 7th January while Busoga United will host Kitara who shred Arua Hill 7-0.
