BUL FC 2-0 Tooro United

BUL FC scored two second half goals to overcome a resilient Tooro United side in Friday’s 2pm kick off at Bugembe Stadium in Jinja.

The Alex Isabirye coached side came into the encounter after losing 3-0 to Soltilo Bright Stars at Kavumba last week.

Forwards Ibrahim Nsimbe and Simon Peter Oketch scored the two goals that guided Isabirye’s men back to victory.

Halftime ended goalless but Nsimbe, Oketch and Karim Ndugwa were all guilty for failing to convert the goal scoring chances that came their way.

However four minutes into the second half, the deadlock was broken when Oketch capitalized on a beautiful interplay between Ndugwa and Ibrahim Kazindula to slot the ball through the keeper’s legs.

Nsimbe made it 2-0 in the 66th minute when he struck a lose ball from just outside the box to relieve pressure off the home side.

BUL moved to the 4th place on 36 points leapfrogging Arua Hill courtesy of a superior goal difference.

Tooro United remained bottom of the table with 12 points from 20 games and will host Arua Hill in their next game on Friday 25th.

BUL FC will have to seek revenge on Soltilo Bright Stars as the two sides face off in the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 16 encounter at Kavumba on Tuesday 22nd.
