Busiro Ssaza team management have agreed terms with Edward Golola to join their technical staff for the 2023 Masaza Cup tournament.
The defending champions have also decided to stay with Ibrahim Kirya as the head coach.
Kirya had opted to resign after a poor string of results. Busiro had lost two and a draw in their opening games before Sunday’s 1-0 victory over Mawogola at Wakishha Playground.
Godfrey Wasswa who was the assistant to Kirya has been relieved of his duties.

Swift Sports Uganda understands that Wasswa and Kirya were not in good terms.
Meanwhile, Golola was seen in the stands during Busiro’s maiden win at Wakishha.
The former Vipers SC tactician is Masaza Cup winning coach with Mawokota (2013). He was close to returning to Mawokota but the move fell through at the eleventh hour.

Golola also contributed to Vipers’ league crowns in 2010, 2015, 2017/18 and 2019/20 as well as winning the Uganda Cup in 2016 and FUFA Super Cup (2019).
Busiro on four points will never host record winners Gomba on match day five.
