Busoga United Football Club are in advanced stages acquiring the services of former national U-17 football head coach Peter Onen.
Swift sports understand that Onen will sign a three year contract once a compromise between his representatives and Busoga United is reached.
He will replace Abbey Kikomeko who guided the side to a 5th place finish last season.

Onen is currently head coach for Big League side Bukedea Town Council, a post he took over before the Coronavirus pandemic broke out.
The former BUL FC coach is expected to be joined by Abu Kigenyi with whom he previously worked at BUL m as the goalkeeping coach.
He has worked with Layibi College, Gulu United,Bukedea Town Council, BUL FC and he notably guided the U-17 national team to a AFCON qualification after winning the maiden CECAFA U-17 Zonal Tourney.

Onen was also the head coach Acholi Province in the maiden FUFA Drum Tournament.
Busoga United finished the 2019-20 season 4th with 42 points from 25 games.
