Abdu Lumala featured in his first game after three months as Pyramids lost 1-0 to Zanaco in the CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinal in Cairo on Sunday.
Lumala had his shot saved by the Zanaco goalkeeper in the first half before he was withdrawn for defender Mohamed Hamid in the 61st minute.
The Uganda Cranes exciting winger officially returned to training last month after a successful left knee surgery in December.

His last game had been a 2-2 draw with Aswan SC in the Egyptian League on 27th November.
Lumala is part of the Uganda Cranes squad that will face South Sudan in the AFCON Qualifiers double header at the end of the month.
Despite a 1-0 defeat to Zanaco, Pyramids advanced with a 3-1 aggregate to the semi finals where they will face Robert Odongkara’s Horoya AC who beat Enyimba.

Odongkara was an unused substitute as the Guinea champions defeated Enyimba 2-0 to progress on a 3-1 aggregate.
The other semi final will have a Morrocan affair between Hassania Agadir and RS Berkane.
Berkane beat Al Masry 3-2 on aggregate while Hassania Agadir thumped Libya’s Al Nasr Benghazi 7-0 over two legs.
