16th-January-2021 has been set by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) as the kick off date for the sixth edition of the Championship of Africa Nations ( CHAN) tournament which will end on 7th-Feburary-2021 in Cameroon.
The tournament had earlier on been slated for April 2020 but was postponed due the Coronavirus pandemic which hit the globe.
Locally based players are the only party eligible eligible to take part in this biennial tournament.
The Uganda Cranes are in group C alongside Morocco, Togo and rivals Rwanda.

Group D comprises of Zambia, Guinea, Namibia and Zambia.
Libya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Congo and Niger make group B.
Hosts Cameroon, Mali, Zimbabwe and Burkina Faso are in Group A

The tournament will be played in four stadiums namely Stade Ahmadou, Stade Japoma, Stade de la Reunification and Stadium Limbe
