Ethiopia’s CBE FC will play against Kenya’s Vihiga Queens in the first confirmed semi final in CECAFA’s CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers at Njeru.
To confirm the semi final duel, CBE beat South Sudan’s Yei Joint Stars 4-0 in their final Group A game played this afternoon.
Goals from skipper Loza Abera, Ariet Odong Ojho, Senayt Bogale Boyzo and second half substitute Mesay Temesgen Tanga ensured a comfortable win for the Ethiopian bankers.
Odong fired the bankers in the lead in the 28th minute with a wonderful low drive from the edge of the box before Abera made it 2-0 with a poacher’s strike from within the area at the stroke of halftime.

CBE beat Vihiga 4-2 in the group phase but the latter avenged perfectly with a 2-1 win in the final and subsequently clinched the championship.
