Crested Cranes goalkeeper and captain Ruth Aturo has departed the country to complete her imminent move to Europe.
This website reliably understands that Aturo is headed for Finland to join a club yet to be known.
The experienced goalkeeper has been playing for UCU Lady Cardinals since 2017 but has not featured in any of their games this season.
She has been an attraction of interest from all corners of the world following her scintillating performance in 2018 when she emerged the best goalkeeper during the COSAFA and CECAFA tournaments.

Aturo is currently represented by the LTA Agency, one of the leading women’s football agency in Europe and the whole world.
Some of the players represented by the LTA Agency include Kenya’s Jentrix Shikangwa, Zambia’s Barbara Banda, Renfiloe Jane (South Africa), Ajara Njoya Nchout (Cameroon), and Tanzania’s Aisha Masaka among very many others.
Aturo is set to became the second Ugandan female goalkeeper plying trade in Europe, the other being Vanessa Karungi who plays for B93 Women in Denmark.
Aturo is a four time Women Elite League winner (with Kawempe Muslim and UCU), and also the FUFA women player of the year in 2018.
