D-day for Kataka, Kyetume, Maroons and Blacks power as the Big league reaches pinnacle


The FUFA Big League 2021/22 climaxes this Thursday 28th-April-2022 with five games.

Three teams will seal promotion to the Uganda Premier League as three will be relegated to the regional leagues.

The onus will either be Kyetume FC, Blacks Power FC, Kataka FC or Maroons FC to bring out their best game in bid to reach the promised land.

The biggest clash of the day will be at Mbale Municipal Stadium as table leaders Kataka FC host fourth placed Kyetume FC.

Kataka tops the table with 36 points while their matchday opponents are fourth with 34 points.

3rd placed Maroons FC with 35 points will be away in Kakyeka against already relegated Nyamityobora FC.

Second placed Vialli Bainomugisha’s Blacks Power FC host Luweero United at Aki Bua Memorial Stadium in Lira.

Blacks Power are tied on 36 points with table leaders Kataka FC.

At the Greenlight Stadium in Arua, Calvary FC will play against already relegated MYDA FC.

MYDA FC and Nyamityobora FC were relegated even before playing their final games.

The result betwee Ndejje University and Kitara will also seal the relegation fate of either side, Proline inclusive.

Ndejje University just need to avoid defeat against Kitara if they are to survive relegation.

They are in the relegation zone with 23 points two below Proline FC.

Proline FC already completed their games with 25 points which puts them in the eighth position one position above relegation

Proline pray for a Ndejje victory to stay in the league.

The 2021/22 champions will be crowned on Friday 29th-April-2022 on the venue where the champion is to be determined.
