Each of the two sides has won once and drawn once of their previous 3 meetings.

Both sides have met twice in the Uganda Cup the semi quarter finals of 2016 season where Soana lost 2-0 at Green Light Stadium.

In the 2017 season Soana eliminated Onduparaka FC 3-2 at the round of 32 at Kavumba Recreational Grounds .

The reserve fixture at Green Light Stadium ended 2-0 in favour of Onduparaka FC courtesy of Vianne Ssekajugo and Rashid Toha.

Soana has managed 6 wins, 3 draws and 4 losses, they lost to KCCA, Vipers, Villa and the very recent 1-3 defeat to Proline on the 13 games they have played home.

On the 13 games Onduparaka FC has played away from home they have managed 5 wins, 2 draws and lost 6.

Soana FC will be welcoming back Ibrahim Kizza and Muwadda Mawejje from an injury and suspension respectively,Timothy Musinguzi subject to a late fitness test.

Petit Wanok, Emmanuel Kalyowa, Osman Wejuli and Joel Mutakubwa will be the men to lead Soana FC in search for a desired result.

Onduparaka will miss the services of Oscar Agaba due to suspension having accumulated many yellow cards, Ceaser Okhuti will be declared fit for the encounter after late fitness test.

Vianne Ssekajugo the leading top scorer for the Caterpillars with 8 goals will be the man to watch as he aims at scoring more for his side.

Soana FC badly needs the maximum points to help them reduce the pressure and move positions away from the drop. After this encounter Soana will be left with hosting UPDF and visiting Maroons FC.

A win can help the Kavumba based side move one position should the fixture against Mbarara City and Proline FC be in their favour.

Onduparaka just targets a respectable finish as they are comfortable in the 4th position and a win can only increase on their points from 42 to 45.
