Early relegation fight for Soltilo Bright Stars as reviving Villa visits

For the first time this season, SC Villa won their two consecutive games after beating limping sides Busoga United and Tooro United.

Tomorrow at Kavumba, they will face another struggling side in Soltilo Bright Stars who haven’t won a game of football in six outings.

Their last victory came in November when they beat Tooro United 1-0 at Kavumba, they have gone on to lose thrice and drew thrice and are languishing in the relegation zone alongside Tooro and Busoga United.

Soltilo Bright Stars are 5 points behind 13th placed Onduparaka and they have no further room for error if they are to survive the drop.

Villa on the other hand aren’t convincing either having only managed only four wins the entire season.

Villa have won three times from the previous seven meetings between these sides.

Soltilo Bright Stars haven’t beaten Villa in these meetings but have only managed to get a point four times.

Simon Peter Mugerwa of Bright Stars will have to engage Villa without the injured duo of striker Emmanuel Loki and defender Warren Buule.

Another defender Andy Kyambadde has been ruled out through illness.

SC Villa have been boosted by the return of midfielder Ali Bayo who has recovered from an knee injury suffered in the match against BUL FC.

They have also attained licences for defenders Shafiq Bakaki and Bernard Agere.

Whereas Bakaki is yet to hit top fitness levels, Agere is likely to start in defence to partner Kenneth Semakula.

Petros Koukouras is expected to mantain the same line up that beat Tooro United 4-0 save for the Agere inclusion.
