El Hadji Diouf confirms visit to Uganda

BET award winning musician Eddie Kenzo Musuza in conjunction with FUFA Big League club Wakiso Giants have organised the visit of El Hadji Diouf Ousseynou to Uganda.

The former African player of they year is expected in Uganda on Thursday 3rd January and he is to grace a football match between Kenzo’s XI where Brian Umony will feature against Wakiso Giants on Friday 4th January at 9am StarTimes Stadium Lugogo.

The Senegalese who played for Liverpool, Leeds United, Bolton Wonderers, Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers to mention but afew won the African player of the award in 2001 and 2002.

Abdallah Kent a member of the organising committee confirmed El Hadji Diouf’s visit,

” El Hadji Diouf will be visiting Uganda early January 2019, we expect him at Entebbe International Airport on 3rd January 2019.”

” On Friday 4th January he will play a game where Kenzo’s XI will be facing Wakiso Giants at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo and later in the day he will grace Eddie Kenzo’s 10 years music celebrations at Serena Hotel Kampala” he added.

El Hadji Diouf won the FA cup with Liverpool in 2003 and a double ( League cup and Premiership) with Rangers of Scotland in 2011.

In 2002 he was among the squad which led Senegal to World Cup quarter finals where they lost to Turkey 1-0.

In his football career Diouf played 486 games where he scored 70 goals
