Express aim to end winless run against tricky NEC

Alex Isabirye’s Express FC will be seeking to return to winning ways when they make a short trip Lugogo to face NEC FC under the floodlights.

Isabirye who replaced James Odoch have lost his first two games in charge of the seven time Uganda Premier league champions.

The Red Eagles have gone seven games without victory, having lost four and drawn three.

In fact they last registered victory in October when they overcame Bright Stars 1-0 at Wankulukuku.

They face NEC who have had a brilliant start in the topflight division.

Hussein Mbalangu’s side are currently fifth on the Uganda Premier league table with 20 points they have garnered this term.

NEC have managed six wins, drawn twice and lost three.

Express are 8th on the log with 13 points, having managed three wins, drawn four and lost as many.

This is the first topflight and competitive meeting between the two sides.
