They have a squad full of seasoned players that have an average of three year’s experience in the league.
On top of that, their coach Charles Livingston Mbabazi is very well accustomed to the league and he is one of the most respected in the league.
He picked a 2-1 victory over Express at Wankulukuku in 2018 while coaching Onduparaka FC and has always given Express hard time with Mbarara city.

The defending champions managed to maintain the core of their squad and also made a few serious additions that make them even more stronger than they were last term. Nicholas Kasozi, Joseph Akandwanaho and Joel Mutakubwa are big additions to the squad.
Head coach Wasswa Bbosa maintains that despite a few injuries to some senior players, his team is still strong enough and focused to match away with victory
