Express FC enter talks with Isabirye as Bbosa’s potential replacement

UPL reigning champions Express FC are in talks with Alex Isabirye as one of the potential replacements for Wasswa Bbosa.

Bbosa and Express officially parted ways on Monday 14th February and James Odoch was elevated to the caretaker role with goalkeeping coach Daniel Kiwanuka serving as his assistant.

Isabirye is a tried and tested coach who has previously worked with URA FC twice, SC Victoria University, Soana, Nyamityobora FC, Kirinya Jinja SS, Kyetume FC, BUL and Buganda Province in the FUFA Drum tournament among others.

The former Uganda Cranes International also had a brief stint with Somalian giants Horseed SC.

Swift Sports understands that Express have also identified Douglas Bamweyana and former Soltilo Bright Stars coach Baker Mbowa as other options to replace Bbosa.

The Red Eagles are currently fifth on the table with 29 points from 17 games they next face relegation threatened Busoga United on Friday at Kakindu Stadium in Jinja.
