Express FC set to sign Kiyinda Boys captain

Gladys ZAWEDDE

Express FC are in advanced talks with Kiyinda Boys to sign the highly rated captain Amuli Mukasa.

Wakiso Giants and record champions SC Villa are the other clubs that openly expressed interest in the budding midfielder.

Swift Sports reliably understands the Red Eagles will tie down the midfielder on a contract of two years.

Mukasa is the current leading scorer of this year’s Airtel Masaza Cup tournament with eight goals despite his side not making it to the final.

His exploits have also propelled Kiyinda Boys to the top of the Katonga Group of the Buganda Regional League with nine points from three games.

George Kaddu (Wakiso Giants), Sula Mpanga (Maroons FC) and Ronald Ssempala (formerly at Soltilo Bright Stars) are some of the notable products of Kiyinda Boys that have joined top flight from the Buganda Regional League side.

Express FC currently lie fourth on the Uganda Premier League table with 11 points from six games.

The Red Eagles next visit a struggling Busoga United on Wednesday 16th November.
