Express target first double over Wakiso Giants

Express FC will be targeting to win a third straight game when they visit Wakiso Giants at the Kabaka Kyabaggu in Wakiso.

The game will be played at 4pm and televised live on Sanyuka TV.

The Red Eagles have won the last two games with an identical scoreline of 2-1 against Police at Wankulukuku and SC Villa at Njeru.

Wakiso Giants come into the fixture on the back of a 1-0 win over relegation bound Tooro United in Buhinga on Sunday.

The two teams are separated by three points on the table standings with Express 6th on 39 while Wakiso Giants are 7th on 36.

Team News

Wakiso Giants will be without midfielder Titus Ssematimba and defender Simon Namwanja due to accumulated yellows.

Hassan Wasswa Dazo remains out with injury whereas defenders Grant Matsiko and Edward Satulo are back after missing the previous game.

Express on the other hand have been boosted by the return of defender Murushid Juuko who missed the last five games.

Midfielder Abel Etrude and Deus Bukenya are sidelined while center back Issa Lumu is suspended due to accumulated bookings.

Head To Head

Express will be targeting a double over the Purple Sharks having won the first round encounter 1-0 courtesy of Eric Kambale’s first half penalty.

The two sides have previously met on three occasions which have all been won by Express, 1-0 and 3-0 at Wankulukuku and 3-0 at Wakiso.

The game also gives Express an opportunity to go fourth if they can emerge victorious over Alex Gitta’s men.
