Uganda Breweries Limited through its Pilsner lager brand has injected 1 billion the Uganda Premier League for the next three seasons.
The development was announced on Monday morning at Kati Kati Restaurant in Lugogo.
650 million shillings will go direct towards the league and the rest towards promotions and activations to make the league more exciting.

The Sponsorship is a continuation of Pilsner lager’s Sponsorship of the league since 2018 in particular the Pilsner man of the match, player of the month and Pilsner coach of the month awards.
The previous contract was worthy Shs450m.
Pilsner brand manager Edgar Kihumuro says the partnership will make the league more rewarding and enjoyable to the fans
“We know that football is one of the things that Ugandans love because it cuts across barriers and brings us together as a nation. As Pilsner we have been supporting and will continue to support local football to make it more exciting to the fans.”
“So in addition to the Pilsner man of the match, Pilsner player of the month and Pilsner coach of the month awards we shall be doing other activities including rewarding local football fans through our Pilsner predict and win fans challenge.”

This time fans with correct predictions will instantly share Shs200,000 on each match day and at the end of the month we shall also be rewarding the Pilsner fan of the month who has made the most correct predictions with Shs500,000. The top 16 fans with the most number of predictions will share cash prizes totalling Shs2m at the end of the season.
