FIFA orders El Merriekh to pay Express for Erick Kambale’s sale

Sudanese Giants El-Merreikh have been ordered by FIFA to pay Ugandan side Express FC the remaining balance in transfer of striker Erick Kenzo Kambale.

In August 2022, El Merriekh agreed to pay $45000 to Express FC for Kambale’s signature.

They agreed on a three year contract for Kambale in a deal that reportedly included a clause which allows El Merreikh to obtain 15% of the future resale of the striker.

The Sudanese side paid $25000 as part of the sale value on August, 20th 2022. They promised to pay the remaining balance on 29th of the same month but failed to pay on the said date.

According to journalist Micky Jr, FIFA has ordered El Merriekh to pay $5000 as legal fees which increases the money to now $25000.

During his time at Express FC, Kambale scored 33 goals in 84 games he played for the Red Eagles and guided the club to a league title and a CECAFA Kagame Cup in 2021.

In September this year, Kambale made a return to the Uganda Premier league joining Vipers SC on a two year employment contract.
