SC Villa legend Andrew Fimbo Mukasa was honoured with the Platinum Award during the Pilsner UPL Awards on Thursday evening at Sheraton hotel in Kampala.

The Platinum Award is given to an individual who has enormously contributed towards the Uganda Premier league.

During Mukasa’s illustrious years at Uganda’s most successful football club SC Villa, Mukasa won four league titles, two Kakungulu Cup trophies, Hedex Cup. He too won the Hedex Cup at Express FC. He was footballer of the year and top scorer with 45 goals in 1999.

He is the first person to score 45 goals in a season, breaking Jimmy Kirunda’s record of 32 goals.
