Sierra Leone coach John Keister has named former England defender Steven Caulker in the final squad for the AFCON tournament that kicks off on 9th January in Cameroon.
Caulker, who currently plays for Turkish club Gaziantep on loan from Fenerbahce, is set to make his competitive debut for Sierra Leone.
The 30 year old former Spurs and Liverpool defender, previously played for England’s senior team once but also represented Great Britain in the 2012 Olympics.
His only appearance came during England’s 4-2 defeat to Sweden in 2012.

Caulker qualified to play for Sierra Leone through his paternal grandfather and was cleared to play for the West Africans by world governing body Fifa earlier in December.
He already played for Sierra Leone during one of their friendly games held in Morocco early last month.
Sierra Leone will be making their third appearance at the AFCON which will be their first since 1996.

They are drawn in Group E alongside defending champions Algeria, two-time champions Ivory Coast and 2015 semi-finalists Equatorial Guinea.
