Ugandan striker Fahad Bardiro has completed a move to Maltese second tier club Zejtun Corinthians on a one year contract.

Bardiro has been a free agent after leaving Congolese topflight side FC Renaissance du Congo last season.

He is a former SC Villa striker who also previously played for BUL FC and UPDF FC in the Uganda Premier League.

Bardiro became the first Uganda to play in the Cameroonian league when he featured for Bamboutos FC in 2018.

He also had a brief stint with Congolese giants Darling Club Motema Pembe (DCMP) before joining SC Villa in 2019.

Former KCCA, SC Villa, Vipers and Express forward Erisa Ssekisambu was the last Ugandan to play in Malta when he featured for Tarxien Rainbows in the 2020/21 season.

Tarxien Rainbows together with Bardiro’s new side Zejtun Corinthians, were relegated in that very season.

Bardiro is expected to debut for Zejtun Corinthians on Saturday 16th September as they host Marsa FC in their league opener.
