On Tuesday, 2nd March the organisers of the Fortebet Real Stars Monthly awards named the best individual sports personalities for the month of February from three sports disciplines Football, Badminton and Athletics.
The event was graced by Real Stars Executive director Isaac Mukasa, Fortebet head of Media John Nanyumba, Jude Color Solutions marketing manager Henry Zzimbe while Abdallah Kabaale represented the awards new sponsors Canaan Bulls Carbonate Energy Drink at the event held at 256 Restaurant in Lugogo.

Uganda Hippos custodian Jack Komakech has been named the best football player for the month of February by Fortebet Real Stars Monthly awards.

The youngster beat teammate Steven Sserwadda and Express FC striker George Ssenkaba to the February gong.
Komakech currently with the Uganda Hippos team in Mauritania was represented by his mother Acero Florence.

He registered two clean sheets at the ongoing AFCON U20 competition, only conceding twice during the previous month.

In Badminton, Husina Kobugabe scooped the accolade. She beat Brian Kasirye and Shanika Fadilah.
Kobugabe won two gold medals at the just concluded Uganda International Badminton tournament. She scooped one in the mixed doubles and the other in the women’s doubles.

Ugandan Athletes icon Joshua Cheptegei won the Athletics accolade following his success at the 5Km Monaco Run. He clocked 13minutes, 11 seconds to defend the title.
He overcame National Cross country championship winners Hosea Kiplangat and Peruth Chemutai who won the senior men and women races in the previous month.
For starters, Uganda Cranes midfielder Saidi Kyeyune and Golfer Godfrey Nsubuga were crowned the best of January in football and Golf categories.
