FUFA BIG LEAGUE: Herman Wasswa penalty spurs Police past Kyetume

Police FC registered their third victory of the season after a slim 1-0 victory against Kyetume FC at Kavumba Recreation grounds.

Herman Wasswa scored an 11th minute after Charles Musoke had brought Emmanuel Mugume down in the forbidden area.

Kyetume FC created several attacks led by Ezra Kaye Kizito only to be denied by goalkeeper Denis Mutebi.

Emmanuel Kalyowa wasted Kyetume’s chance to level matters when he hit an 86th minute penalty on the woodwork.

Victory takes Police FC to ten points level with leaders Kitara FC and second placed NEC FC

Kyetume FC remain on three points out of their four games, they have won once and lost three.

Despite victory, Angelo Lyonesi was not convinced by the display from his side,

“We had the worst display today, in fact Kyetume deserved the win because they were a better side.”

“Luck was not our side despite planning well for this game, we conceded due to a reckless mistake by our defender. Our opponents had their chance and used it which we failed to do and that’s football.”

The FUFA Big League will next be played on Thursday 17th Police FC will host Ndejje University at Kavumba while Kyetume FC will also be home at Nakisunga grounds against Northern Gateway
