FUFA DRUM: Bugisu power past Lango to take slim advantage

Bugisu beat Lango 1-0 in their first leg Quarterfinal contest on Saturday at Mbale City Stadium.

Raymond Onyai scored the all important goal in the second half of the game.

Bugisu missed the services of tournament leading scorer Usama Arafat.

The home side missed several scoring opportunities in the first period of the contest.

Mbale Stadium was full to capacity

In the second half, Bugisu hit the front through Onyai who rose highest to head home a quality Emma Shikanga delivery from the corner kick.

Onyai’s goal was enough to give Bugisu a slim advantage ahead of the second leg game.

Both sides will next face off on 16th October for the return leg at the Akiibua stadium in Lira to determine who makes it to the semi finals.
