Katwe United President and Member of Parliament for Makindye West constituency Allan Ssewanyana Aloysius has called for the incumbent FUFA boss Moses Magogo’s resignation.
The legislator revealed at a press briefing held at his offices in Makindye that he has instructed his lawyers through Allan Mulindwa to file a case against Magogo if accountability of government a¨nd FIFA monies is not given with 7 days.
“I call upon Mr. Magogo should step down at the end of his term since he is still under investigations by FIFA for violating ban imposed on him. We need accountability of all monies from government and FIFA and I have instructed my lawyers to file a case if accountability is not given within 7 days.”

Ssewanyana also declared that he will be contesting for the top FUFA office at the August general assembly
“I am presenting myself as a candidate for the position of FUFA President at the next general assembly.” We must make football an enjoyable environment for every stakeholder including myself, players, investors.”
I can also confirm to you that Magogo won’t appear on the ballot paper and wait for what is going to happen in the next months.”

“FUFA led by Magogo is more interested in image management than people management. The plight of Mutyaba a footballer demanding for his rights is very unfortunate and this is a clear manifestation of how the administration treats footballers who dare challenge the bad leadership at Mengo.”
In May, 2017, Ssewanyana petitioned FIFA about Magogo’s illegal resale of the 2014 FIFA World Cup tickets and investigations were opened against him on 23rd July, 2018.
The FUFA boss entered a plea bargain under Article 67 of the FIFA code of Ethics statues and was fined UGX 37M and banned from taking part in any kind of football related activities at National and international level for two months.
