KCCA tactician Morley Byekwaso has been promoted to a more senior role of coaching the national U23 side that has been tasked to represent Uganda in the CECAFA senior challenge cup.
A resolution was passed by the CECAFA Exco that this year’s edition be a preserve for players born after January 1998. The meeting sat at the Sofitel Hotel in Morocco on March 11th this year.
It is upon that background that the FUFA Exco meeting that sat on the 30th April resolved that Uganda will use predominantly the U20 contigent that reached the finals of AFCON U20 in Mauritania alongside their coach Byekwaso.
Simeone Masaba has been appointed to deputize Byekwaso with Steven Billy Kiggundu as the goal keeping coach. Ivan Sewanyana has been maintained to work as the team’s physiotherapist.
