Futsal Association Uganda releases 2022/23 competitions calendar

The Futsal Association Uganda ( FAU) competition department has released the activity schedule for the 2022/23 FAU Competitions Calendar.

The Calendar outlines all the events and activities that will happen in the entire three-month season.

Apart from the Futsal Super League (FSL) and Futsal Uganda Cup ( FUC), several other competitions have been introduced by FAU which include the U14 Futsal Championship, Primary School Futsal, Secondary School Futsal Championship and Legends Futsal Cup.

Futsal Super League (FSL) will open up all competitions on the FAU Calendar on Friday 28th April, 2023 with the release of the FSL 2022/23 Club Licensing Regulations.

The U14 Futsal Championship, which will be played by both boys and girls will then kick off on 16th May 2023 before 2022/23 FSL starts on 21st May 2023.

Futsal Uganda Cup will start on 26th May with the round of 8 games while the Primary Schools Futsal Championship (U12) will begin on 17th June.

The last competition on the calendar will be the Secondary School Futsal Championship (U15) which will start on 8th July and end on 22nd July.

Meanwhile, the Association has also released the Club Licensing Requirements for the upcoming season.

The requirements have been divided into six criteria to enable and help clubs fulfill their registration smoothly.

Each criteria has been attached with a score percentage and only clubs that attain a score of 80% and above will be eligible for inspection to be granted a license to participate in the upcoming season.

The deadline for submitting in all FSL Licensing requirement documents has been set on Friday 5th, May 2023.

After the licensing process is done, FAU will release the 2022/23 fixtures on 8th May ahead of the season kickoff on 21st March.
