FUTSAL: Mengo, Big Talent maintain winning start

The Futsal Super League continued over the weekend with four games played at the Old Kampala Sports Arena.

Mengo Futsal Club and Eddie Kenzo’s Big Talent maintained their winning start to the season with victories over KJT and Aidenal SOSA respectively.

Big Talent beat Aidenal SOSA 3-2 while Mengo defeated KJT and took their tally to six points. Mengo lead the Albert Nile Group while Big Talent comes second courtesy of goal difference.

The two games played were from the Victoria Nile saw Kisenyi Futsal Club beating Yeak Kabowa 4-3 while Park and Synergy drew 5-5 in the final game of the day.

Synergy and Kisenyi are joint top of the group with four points each. Park, who were dubbed pre- tournament favorites are third with two points while former champions Yeak Kabowa sit bottom with no point.

The games will continue with match day 3 on Saturday 15th May at the same venue.

Big Talent will face Mengo City in the early kick off, Yeak Kabowa will hope for redemption against their rivals Park in the 10am kick off.

Aidenal SOSA and KJT will play at 11am whereas Kisenyi and Synergy will close the day at noon.

Big Talent’s captain Faisal Wabyoona and his teammate Farouk Tumwesigye lead the scorers table with six and five goals respectively.
