Shafik Avemah and Andrew Kayongo scored the all important goals for Yeak Kabowa who were also reduced to four men after Gerald Sam Gavamukulya was sent off for unsporting behavior.

Goals from Babu Idd (brace), Aziku Joshua (brace) and Francis Matunga were not enough for Park to seal maximum in a 10-goal draw with Bajim.

Yeak Kabowa are now on 54 points while Park have now garnered 48 points from 22 games played.

Elsewhere, defending champions Dream overcame Elephants 3-2 in the early kick off thanks to Peter Kikomeko, Sentongo Ali Kiseka and Eric Wagana’s own goal.

Parakeets lost 3-1 at the hands of debutants Aidenal in the closing stages of the evening. Seguya Ismail (brace) and Kasozi Jordan Michael were on target for Aidenal whilst Abigaba Vincent’s goal turned out to be a mere consolation for the Parakeets.

Nomad were 5-0 winners of bottom placed Yap Stars whereas Equator edged Typhoon 3-2 thanks to Omar Hitimana’s brace.

Mengo City registered the biggest victory on the evening, a 7-1 over Kabowa United in a game that saw Oketch Vasco and Emmanuel Sempijja score a brace each.

The league will resume next week on May 9th at the International Futsal Courts in Mengo.

Yeak Kabowa’s duo of Shafik Avemah and Enock Sebagala top the scorers’ table with 36 goals each. Park’s Babu Iddi comes next with 30.
