Mengo Futsal Club became the first club to book a place in this season’s Futsal Super League semi finals.

Mengo beat Aidenal SOSA 5-1 in the opening match of round four played at the Old Kampala Sports Arena and subsequently took their tally to 10 points.

Mayanja Said, John Ben Nakibinge and Lameck Mwebaza executed the task for the Mengo Futsal Club while Kalanzi Dennis’ goal proved to be a mere consolation for Aidenal.

Mengo currently top the Albert Nile Group table with two points clear of second placed Big Talent while heading into the final two rounds of the group stages.

Big Talent rallied from 4-1 to draw 4-4 with Kampala Junior Team (KJT). Edrisa Kabonge, Abasi Kyeyune and brace scorer Billy Nkata were on target for KJT whereas Tumwesigye Farouk, Mulamba Blanchar and Ronald Kaye (brace) scored for the Eddie Kenzo owned team.

KJT earned their first point of the season and are officially out of the contention for the semi final places.

Synergy Futsal Club is only a point away from sealing a berth in the semis after beating former winners Yeak Kabowa 5-3 in the final game of the match day.

Synergy lead the Victoria Nile Group with 10 points, five above second placed Park FC and will need at least a draw in their subsequent fixture when the two sides meet next Saturday.

Park registered their first win of the campaign after drubbing Kisenyi Futsal Club 6-1 thanks to goals from Junior Abas (hat trick), Iddi Babu and Sam Kalyango (brace).

Billy Nkata (KJT), Big Talent’s Farouk Tumwesigye and Yeak Kabowa’s Abdul Swaburu Mugenyi are the leading scorers with seven goals each.

The Futsal Super League will resume on Saturday 29th May with match day five.
