Lady Doves 5-0 Isra Soccer Academy
Fazila Ikwaput scored a four-goal haul as Lady Doves thumped Isra Soccer Academy 5-0 in the opener of Group 2 of the FUFA Women Super League at Njeru.
Lydia Nyandera scored the other in what was expected to be a one sided affair given the difference in quality and experience between the two sides.
Nyandera opened the scoring spree with an easy finish after a lapse in Isra’s defense in the 24th minute.

Ikwaput made it 2-0 in the 35th minute with another easy finish past Brenda Kasana, the Isra goalkeeper from close range.
Ikwaput had earlier been denied by Kasana’s steady gloves and had an effort come off the crossbar.
The Crested Cranes striker made it 3-0 with a well curled free kick just outside the box five minutes into the second half.

She then became the first player to score a hat trick in this edition in the 65th minute when she made good use of a well laid Jowelia Nagadya ball with the Isra goalkeeper Kasana off her line.
Ikwaput completed the haul with her fourth goal in the 88th minute of the game and subsequently became the leading scorer of the campaign.

Only Kawempe Muslim’s Allen Nassazi and Kampala Queens skipper Fauzia Najjemba come close to her with three goals each.
Lady Doves will play against Ikwaput’s former side Olila High School in their next game on Tuesday. Isra will return to action against Olila on Wednesday.
