Former KCCA FC defender Geoffrey Wasswa has completed a move to Ethiopian Premier league side Ethiopia Bunna Sports Club.
Wasswa joins the Ethiopian side on a two year employment contract as a free agent following expiration of his employment contract at KCCA FC in June this year.
Double Uganda Champions Vipers SC and URA FC were interested in Wasswa’s services but both clubs failed to reach a compromise with Wasswa’s representatives.
As earlier reported by this website Wasswa fancied a move to Ethiopia despite interests from both Vipers and URA FC.

When he left Vipers in 2020, Wasswa joined SC Villa where he featured for a short spell before joining KCCA FC at the start of the 2021/22 season.
At Vipers SC, the versatile player won two league titles and a Uganda trophy.
He is also a product of St.Mary’s Kitende and joined Vipers senior team from the Junior team at the start of the 2015/16 season.

Ethiopia Bunna, also known as Coffee is a former home to Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Isma Watenga and Ugandan midfielders Kirizestom Ntambi and Boban Zirintusa Bogere.
The two-time Ethiopian champions finished fourth on the league table last season with 43 points.
