Halid Lwaliwa completes move to Europe

Uganda Cranes defender Halid Lwaliwa has officially joined North Macedonian side FK Bregalnica Stip, Swift Sports has learnt.

Lwaliwa officially leaves Vipers after a period of eight years at Kitende where he was captain in the last four seasons.

He has been a free agent after his employment contract expired and opted not to renew it.

Lwaliwa was also a transfer target for South African sides Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu but nothing could materialize in the past month.

His new club Fudbalski Klub Bregalnica Shtip was formed 101 years and host league games at the Gradski stadio Stip.

The club is currently 4th on the North Macedonian topflight league table after six games but finished 7th with 45 points garnered last season.

Lwaliwa is graduate of St. Mary’s Kitende and has played 10 games for Uganda Cranes scoring one goal which came against South Sudan at Kitende.
