KCCA FC 1-0 Soltilo Bright Stars

KCCA FC beat Soltilo Bright Stars 1-0 at Lugogo in one of the two games played on Tuesday afternoon.

Youngster Ibrahim Juma scored the all important goal that gave Morley Byekwaso’s men a slim victory.

The former national U17 captain headed home perfectly from a well delivered cross by Roger Mato in the 30th minute.

He was making his home full debut and started alongside other youngsters Elvis Eddie Mwanje and Dominic Ayella.

Ayella also had an opportunity to score in the 27th minute but failed to head perfectly from Ashraf Mugume’s cross.

Earlier on, Sadat Anaku came close to breaking the deadlock as early as the 10th minute but his powerful shot rattled the upright and went out for a goal kick.

Bright Stars fought back for a leveller but were unfortunate not to get it before the halftime whistle.

Makeshift left back Derrick Ngoobi nearly scored from a tight angle but was denied by KCCA’s stand-in captain John Revita who made a timely clearance of the line.

Bright Stars were thereafter lethargic in front of goal as Nelson Senkatuka failed to capitalize on lapses in the KCCA defense.

KCCA now second with 53 points while Bright Stars remain 10th with 30 points, five above the relegation zone.

Bright Stars will take on URA FC in the next game on Saturday 7th May at Ndejje while KCCA will visit Busoga United on the same day.
