Sports Club Villa have decided to retain striker Ivan Bogere ahead of the second round of the season.
Swift Sports Uganda understands that Bogere will stay with the 16 time Ugandan champions at least for the remainder of the season.
Reports had earlier revealed that the club had decided to offload Bogere but the latest development indicate that he will continue with the Wankulukuku based side this term.
He also took part in Saturday’s training sessions at East High in Ntinda.
Bogere who has six months remaining on his employment contract at SC Villa has so far managed to score three league goals for the Dusan Stojanovic’s side this season.
He joined SC Villa at the start of the 2022/23 season on a two year employment contract from Proline FC.
SC Villa who finished the first round of the season in fifth position with 26 points have already part ways with Midfielders Ivan Sserubiri and Davis Ssekajja.
