Patrick Kaddu opened his KCCA FC account on his return to Lugogo Stadium as the Kasasiro Boys edged URA FC 1-0 on Wednesday.

This was KCCA FC’s first win over the tax collectors in seven league matches.

Kaddu tapped the hosts into an early lead in the 2nd minute of the contest to send the home fans into a frenzy.

The hosts dominated proceedings in the first period and Kaddu came close to doubling their lead but was denied by custodian Nathan Alionzi five minutes to halftime breather.

In the second half, the visitors had the possession but couldn’t find a way through a well organized KCCA FC defence.

Midway into the second half, the visitors had a penalty claim after defender John Revita looked to have handled Steven Mukwala’s effort inside the forbidden area but referee Ali Sabilla waved away.

Kaddu nearly sealed it for the hosts in the 72nd minute but Alionzi perfectly dealt with his header.

KCCA will next visit Mbarara City on Sunday while URA welcomes Gaddafi at the Arena of Visions on 12th February.
