Gladys ZAWEDDE

The 2022/23 season of the Buganda Regional League will kickoff on Wednesday with 11 games.

Super Eagles Lugongwe, Lwanda Five Stars, Wobulenzi United and Sparks Soccer Club are the four teams that were promoted from the fourth division.

From Katonga group, last season’s finalists Kajjansi United host Kakiri TC at Uganda Clays grounds Kajjansi.

Kajjansi United failed to make it to the FUFA Big League when they lost 1-0 to Lugazi FC in the promotional play off final at Kavumba Recreation grounds.

Debutants Super Eagles Lugongwe will have to wait to play their first game of the season.

This is in line with President Museveni’s directive where both Kasanda and Mubende are under quarantine due to Ebola outbreak.
