Kajjansi United thrash Manyangwa to book a berth in the next Uganda cup round

Kajjansi United humbled Manyangwa FC to a 5-1 humiliating defeat as the preliminary round fixtures of the 48th edition of the Buganda Regional League climaxed.

John Wesley Kisakye bagged a brace for the Robert Kimuli’s coached side.

Farouk Musisi, Marvin Nyanzi and Joel Sserunjogi were the other goal scorers for the Entebbe road based side.

Denis Kiggundu scored the consolation goal for the hosts.

Kimuli the head coach Kajjansi United appreciated the players for the fighting spirit as well as asking them to stay focused,

“I believe we are on the right track, the players always give it all and it is upon that mentality that we are to achieve the best so I ask them to stay focused. “

The other games of the day saw Seeta United defeat Nakifuma United at Kalagi play ground.

Kiwanga United lost
1-0 to Lugazi Municipal FC at Uganda Clays grounds Kajjansi.

Free Stars also lost 1-0 to Five Stars FC at Entebbe Works Play ground

At Ssaza grounds in Mityana Kiyinda Boys FC defeated Masaka City 3-1.

Kajjansi United, Seeta United, Kiyinda Boys, Lugazi Municipal FC Five Stars will represent Buganda Region at the round of 64 of the 48th edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

The sixth team from Buganda Region is yet to be decided.
