Kawempe Muslim 1-0 Kampala Queens
Kawempe Muslim have ended Kampala Queens’ long-standing 33 match unbeaten run in the FUFA Women Super League in a game played in the morning at the school’s valley ground in Kawempe.
Teenage midfielder Agnes Nabukenya scored that all important goal against the run of play and ultimately won it for the Ayub Khalifa coached side.
It was poetic justice for Nabukenya who was adjudged with a handball in the penalty area that led to the only goal when Kampala Queens beat Kawempe 1-0 in the first round at Kabojja.

Resty Nanziri also had her headed goal from a free kick cancelled for offside in the first half.
Nabukenya struck perfectly in the 55th minute after goalkeeper Gloria Zaza Namakula failed to tame a powerful cross from Rhoda Nanziri.
The Kawempe Muslim side put up a spirited fight that saw them hold on to their slim but crucial lead.

Kampala Queens’ best chances on the day came in the first stanza as Hasifa Nassuna’s free kick hit the cross bar while Zainah Nandede’s subsequent rebound also came off the lower post.
This became the first time Kampala Queens have lost a game since February 9th last year when they lost 2-0 to Kawempe Muslim.
This is also the second time Kampala Queens have lost to Kawempe Muslim this month with the first one being a 5-1 mauling in the FUFA Women’s Cup at Kabojja.
Kawempe Muslim assistant coach Moses Nkata lauded his charges for a spirited performance and heaped praises on goalkeeper Juliet Adeke for an improved performance.
” Not only today, Adeke has been putting up a better performance than in the first round and last season. That’s why we trusted her to go back again and with experience we knew she could still do it. And good enough she has delivered, we counted on her.” Nkata said.

“We expected a tough came because we knew it’s a top of table clash between two teams fighting to win games. Tough as it was, they started better than us and we were the ones trying to chase to reach them but we had to organize our team in the second half.” He added.
The Kawempe Muslim of the 2015 season, remains the only team to have won the Women topflight league while unbeaten.
The other game played saw Rines SS enhance survival hopes with a 4-2 win over She Corporate. Jessica Namanda (brace), Phiona Arach and Eva Naggayi.
Spencer Nakacwa scored the two goals for She Corporate while goalkeeper Daphine Nyayenga was sent off.
