Kayiwa carries 10 man Express past clueless Onduparaka

admin

Winger Allan Kayiwa scored twice as Express FC beat Onduparaka 4-1 to end a winless streak of eleven games.

The Red Eagles missed an early opportunity to go Infront when experienced midfielder Boban Zirintuusa failed to convert from the penalty spot.

He however made up for his flaws towards the half time break, nodding in from close range a poorly chested Derrick Ngobi effort.

1-0, is how the game went into half time

The visitors returned with more attacking intent and were gifted with another opportunity when Express got reduced to 10 men.

Defender Derrick Ngobi went into the referee’s bad books after a stupid retrospective challenge on an opponent. The incident sparked a scuffle which prompted the center man to flash 4 yellow cards.

Onduparaka attempted to capitalize of their numerical advantage but were caught on the break which resulted into Allan Kayiwa being fouled in the forbidden area.

Kayiwa took the responsibility upon himself and he took an outrageous dink past a helpless Mathias Okello to hand Express a two goal cushion in the 71st minute.

The visitors failed to recover from the blow and Kayiwa punched them further with another sumptuous effort from a free kick just outside the penalty area to make it 3-0.

Substitute Marvin Oshaba confirmed Express FC were returning to winning ways with a gigantic score line after being well fed by the man of the moment Kayiwa.

Oshaba rounded off Okello and left him eating grass to glide the ball diligently in a tight angle to complete an 4-0 rout.

Onduparaka didn’t however return home empty handed thanks to a penalty conversion by William Gama deep in added time.

Express will return to action on April 8th to face BUL FC at Njeru, whereas Onduparaka will seek redemption when they face BUL on 4th April .

They are currently languishing at the bottom of the log with only 10 points.
