Title challengers KCCA FC finally managed to return to winning ways after going four matches without tasting victory.

The 3-0 emphatic triumph over UPDF came coincidentally with his return to the touchline after a month’s absence due to illness.

They were held to three consecutive stalemates with Express FC, SC Villa and Police FC.

” I thank God that we have managed to win today ( yesterday) with such a big margin and on the road.”

“My assistants did a great job when I was away, even if it was me on the touchline, we would have gotten the same results or worse” .

“I was the one in charge when we lost to Soltilo Bright Stars at home and so, anything could have happened.

Byekwaso’s assistant Kaddu Badru was in charge of the results that saw KCCA fall behind leaders Vipers SC by 7 points but with 7 games left to go, the tactician insists the title chase is still on.

Byekwaso during a post match press briefing.

“The title chase is a marathon despite the fact that we are into the final bend, we need to engage top gear and wait what happens. Our opponents also have some tough games ahead and we have to play against them.

Against UPDF, striker Brian Aheebwa and defender John Revita also managed to return to the squad with the former scoring his first goal this term.

This website further learnt that the two players have been serving an internal suspension after breaking the club’s disciplinary code of conduct.

KCCA will return to action on Monday 11th against Arua Hill at Lugogo
