KCCA FC suspend youngster for playing in match not sanctioned by club

Highly rated midfielder Saidi Mayanja has been punished by the club for a period of 30 days after he took part in a football match without the club’s approval.

Mayanja who caught the eye of many when he put up a mature display during KCCA’s 3-2 victory over Wakiso Giants also drew plaudits from his coach Morley Byekwaso in his post match remarks.

“Mayanja is one of those exciting young players we have at the club”.

“You saw how he took matters into his own hands to command the midfield before Mugume came on. We have been preparing him and now he is ready to deliver”.

The club website reported that the youngster will miss KCCA’s visit to Arua Hill.

“Saidi Mayanja has been suspended by the club for being indisciplined and going against the team protocols. The midfielder who made his debut for KCCA FC last game day against Wakiso Giants FC later participated in football activities that were not sanctioned by the club.”

Mayanja joined KCCA during the just closed transfer window and signed a lengthy five year contract .

He has previously played for Edgar’s FC and Mydel Academy
