KCCA Leopards runs away with game 1 of best of 5 series

KCCA Leopards defeated A1 Challenge with a 2 point gap to claim 1 of the 5 NBL semifinal games.

It was Nanfuka Stella who opened up scores from a well laid assist by Akol Elizabeth making it 2-0. Ntale Victoria scored 1 of the 2 free throws ro make it 3-0.

Nabusimba Halima scored a 2 jump shot to make it 2-3 on which KCCA Leopards capitalized and went on to win the first quarter 14-11.

The Leopards went on to lead 28-26 at half time and 47-43 at the end of the 3rd quarter.

During the last timeout ,game was came so close but KCCA denied A1 Challenge a chance to level or sit in front of them, 63-60, 64-60, and ending 64-62.

Cynthia Irakunda scored 18 points, 4 rebounds and made 4 assists while A1 Challenge’s Ntale Victoria scored 16 with 8 rebounds.

KCCA leads 1:0 as it stands and 2 more wins of the remaining 4 grants them a place in the finals while A1 Challenge need to win 3 out 4 if they should make it to the finals.
