Kiberu, Amatre leave as SC Villa embark on reshuffle in coaching staff

Record champions SC Villa have mutually agreed to terminate the employment contracts of coaches Mubarak Kiberu and Richard Amatre, Swift Sports reliably confirms.

Kiberu has been serving as the team’s goalkeeper coach while Amatre has been the team’s second assistant coach.

Kiberu was initially re-appointed for the role in 2019 while Amatre was appointed at the start of this season.

The club has embarked on finding their replacement and appointments are expected before the in end of this week.

However Greek coach Petros Koukouras is still in charge of the team while deputized by his immediate assistant Jackson Magera.

The Jogoos have spent the better part of the current season on the wrong end of the Uganda Premier League table.

They are currently in the 11th position with 18 points.

The Jogoos will play against fellow relegation strugglers Busoga United in their next assignment at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on Thursday 3rd March.
