The organisers of the Fortebet Real Stars awards have named the winners for the month August in five sports disciplines.
The winners were rewarded at a brief ceremony that was held at Route256 in Lugogo.
Commonwealth double gold medalist Jacob Kiplimo was named as the Athlete of the month of August.
Kiplimo smiled to the 10000m and 5000m double at the 2022 Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham, England.

He beat 3000m Steeplechase Commonwealth bronze medalist Peruth Chemutai and Abel Chebet to the Athletics gong.
In Football, She Corporate Midfielder Phionah Nabbumba smiled to the accolade. The former Ajax Queens midfielder scored six goals and five assists for She Corporate as they finished runners up in Tanzania during their maiden CAF Zonal qualifiers.

Dan Muzeeyi Sserunkuma who helped Ndiga clan reach the Bika Finals and Travis Mutyaba the scorer of the all important goal for Uganda Cranes against Tanzania in the CHAN Qualifier in Dar es Salaam were the other nominees for the football gong.

The Rally crew of Duncan Mubiru Kikankane and Musa won the Motorsport accolade of the month.
The duo beat Ronald Rally crews of Ssebuguzi/Anthony Mugambwa and Michael Mukula/Edward Kiyingi to the award.
In Basketball, Brenda Ekone (JKL Lady Dolphin) beat Ninette Uwineza (KIU Rangers) and Isiah Mabeny (KIU Titans).

Husinah Kukundakwe won the Swimming accolade for the month of August. She beat Tendo Mukazi and Kirabo Namutebi to the gong.
